Jambalaya Art Trail
A call for artists
For the first time ever Jambalaya has added an art trail to the mix, which will showcase New Zealand's finest emerging artists and add yet another layer to the festival.

2011 upcycled artwork at Jambalaya by Twin Streams Project
Along with the workshops, food stalls and music & dance performances, the art installations are an important aspect of the ‘festive-scape’ for festival goers to explore. We are looking to create installation spaces that are vibrant and colourful, suspend reality, engage participation and inspire wonderment.
We invite exuberant artists, designers and filmmakers who are interested in creating works that have a festive carnival feel and possibly have interactive elements. We are particularly interested in works that are themed around 'upcycling' (art works made from recycled materials).
If you would like to showcase your work to an audience of 1,000 we would love to hear from you.
For more information, including more site photos, please contact our Art Trail Managers Hellen Robinson – and Tania Pomana –
